OOTD Leopard & Pink

Figuring out what to wear when I visit the schools has been a little difficult for me. I pretty much live in jeans. When I go into schools I want to look professional & put together but I also want what I wear to reflect me! So here is one outfit I came up with.

This outfit feels a little Elle Woods inspired to me!

A Quick Check-In

So I am like the absolute worse at writing lately! I promise I have been making time to read blogs though!
Grad School is stressful! I feel like there is always something I should be doing! I've been told this is called Grad School Guilt! Trust me you do feel guilty if you decide to "take a day off."
One thing I have been making sure to do every night is read my devotional for the day. I know most people read these in the morning, but I do not function well in the mornings! It's hard to get going!
For Christmas I received  Jesus Calling by Sarah Young and I have to say that it seems like almost everyday, no matter what I have been going through it fits to my needs for the day. So if you're looking for a good devotion I would definitely suggest it!

Break!

I have been so MIA lately, but school has gotten the best of me! I probably should be doing some kind of school work now! I just have to keep telling myself 2 more weeks, and then I can lounge around and  not even think about school for 4 weeks!

Even though Thanksgiving break was filled with schoolwork, I did manage some fun time!

At the beginning of my break I got to see the latest Twilight movie with Jenn and then we met up with some more friends for a girls day of ice skating and yummy Italian food!

Poor "M" never left the wall

In addition to eating tons of food on Thanksgiving day it was also my birthday, so I got to enjoy lots of cake!

My parents got me this cute little GA necklace and a bottle of my favorite perfume
I know it's hard to see but there is a little heart besides GA, and georgia is written across the state!

P.S. the necklace can be found here! And they have all 50 states!

Dresser Re-Do

I've recently moved for Graduate school to place with zero furniture! I was lucky that everywhere I lived as an undergrad was furnished! I wanted to stay budget friendly, since I don't even know what furniture I'll need in 2 years! So I decided to try to fix up a dresser that was in my grandparents attic! This thing was old and gross! It's probably at least 35 years old!

First it had to be cleaned! Then I had to sand it down and then on the bottom of the sides use wood-filler to cover up all the nicks and dings. And then sand that down! Finally I painted it a pale blue!

I still can't decide though if the hardware would look better silver or left that bronze-copper color? Any suggestions or ideas?

Shoes for Good

I feel like I might be a little late on this as fall is approaching us, but in Georgia we have a lot more time to wear sandals, so I decided to go ahead and share!

I'm sure everyone knows about TOMS (which I love) and their mission, but I don't think many people have heard of Ssekos.

With Ssekos you can create multiple shoes with just one pair!

Not only can you come up with your own designs, or watch youtube videos if you need help (like me!), Sseko helps women in Uganda earn money so they can go to university!

(excuse my poorly painted toenails!)
So if you're looking for a new pair of sandals,
you should definitely check out Sseko!

Updates & Summer Favorites

I promise I have not fallen off the face of the earth, I guess I've just been on a blogger hiatus! Just for a little update I only have ten more working days left! On my last day I will have been at my job for 9 months and 5 days. It has been a great learning experience and I have definitely seen a lot working in an ER!
But for more news! I was accepted into graduate school! In the fall I will start to work on my masters in school counseling at Georgia Southern! I'm excited to start back school after a year off but also really nervous about getting back into the swing of school;the studying, paper writing, and presentations!

Now for some of my summer favorites!

I am seriously such a pale person, I can get really tan in a tanning bed but with all the risks you definitely have to weigh your pros and cons!

Enter-Bath & Body works true blue spa collection!
I love the Bronzing Self-Tanner lotion you can see it as it goes on,so it helps eliminate streaking and splotchiness!
But before you apply your self tanner I like to use the True Blue Spa Malibu Body Scrub! Not only does it make your skin so smooth it also smells good!
And lastly one of my new favorite beauty finds is Benefit High Beam! It's a highlighter you apply to enhance your complexion! I like to apply it around my eyes and on my cheek bones!
Hope everyone is having a great summer so far! And what are some of your favorite summer beauty products?!

Sweet, not so sugar fix

I love desserts!
Love to buy them, love to bake them, and love to eat them!

If only their calories didn't count! *wishful thinking*

But recently I have discovered Pillsbury sugar free brownies, cakes, and icing!
And I have to say they are not that bad! Of course you still are getting some calories and fat grams, but the sugar-free has to count for something right?!
